Mattlock Action & Technique

The Mattlock runs over 6+ mph but shines at slower speeds — ideal for early and late season when water temps are coldest and muskies are more sluggish. An exceptional night fishing lure. Multiple fish nights are the norm. Favorite technique: use planer boards with baits only 4–15 feet behind them, keeping baits close to the surface over open water. Also deadly when cast and crawled slowly along the surface — the big bait wobbling on top is something fish rarely see.
